Correction of leg deformities

Inserting internal nails into the leg is a new technique that can be used to correct curved or deformed bones

The main advantage of this method is comfort for the patient

The entire program with surgical procedures takes about 7-10 days

Day 1 – Pre-operative medical examination

Day 2 – Simultaneous surgery on both legs

Days 3 and 4 – Post-operative walking stage with the use of crutches

Starting from the 5th and 6th day, the patient can stay in the hospital or return to his apartment

On day 7, the patient can return home.  In this case, the stitches can be removed by the doctor at home.  The use of crutches is necessary for approximately 60 days after surgery

Surgical correction of deformed bones involves cutting the bone and then realigning it in the correct position.  This straightens the bone axis, resulting in an increase in limb length of approximately 1 cm.

Surgical nails are made of titanium alloy.  Their diameter is 9.0 mm  and their length is 15-17 cm

:The main functions of internal nails
Creating suitable conditions for bone fusion and fixation
Protecting bones in the postoperative period

The internal screws do not hinder the patient’s movement or limit  his or her ability to shower or swim.  The screws can be removed after 5-6 months. This surgery is short and takes only 15-20 minutes

The correction method and results of its use are shown below
