All necessary devices are inserted simultaneously during surgery.  The device’s motor (horse) is located under the muscles in the pelvis

The runner is a small tube that allows the device to be extended as needed to accommodate the patient’s movements

 

The lengthening procedure is performed by tapping using lateral movements.  The patient is usually able to perform the tapping himself, and it is a painless procedure that does not require medical anesthesia
